Ang Wen Hsia was born into a middle class family in Klang, Selangor as the eldest among 5 siblings. She attended school locally and completed her degree at the University of Malaya, Kuala Lumpur.
Trained as an architect, her design thesis, a preschool and community project for a Semai community (an indigenous group) in Tapah, Perak was published in the International Journal of the Indigenous Research.
She co-founded Building Bloc and WHBC Architects with BC Ang. Their works have won several PAM awards and published locally and internationally. They have also participated in the House @SEA exhibition held in conjunction with the DATUM Architectural Conference in 2011.
Wen Hsia has shared her design viewpoints in the PAM design lecture series and also on the Malaysian Chinese Muslim Association Mosque Architectural Competition, which won an Honorable Mention.
Wen Hsia hopes to test more ideas and thinking on her works in the future.
