Marco Goldschmied is a Past President of the RIBA, chair of the Stirling Prize jury, and founding partner of the Richard Rogers Partnership from which he retired in 2004. He was an Associate Partner of Piano & Rogers from 1971 -1977 and worked on buildings such as the Pompidou Centre, Lloyd's of London, Channel 4 TV HQ, and Patscenter Princeton.
He now runs his own design studio and real estate operations in the UK and Switzerland and is a non-executive director of SPARCH in Beijing, Shanghai, and Singapore. His Foundation regularly sponsors architecture awards including the Stirling and the Stephen Lawrence prizes and bursaries for architecture students.
He has written numerous articles for magazines and given lectures on architecture, design and masterplanning across Europe.
He is a graduate of the Architectural Association School in London, has a Masters Degree from the University of Reading and is an Honorary Member of the American Institute of Architects.
